I like to fish fast, usually I can catch more fish than others by covering water and getting my bait wet more. Sometimes though it is necessary to slow down, especially when the fish are sluggish or relating to a certain kind of cover. By slowing down and covering a certain piece of cover thoroughly can increase your catch. When I do fish fast I am catching fish off a reaction bite. The fish has to react fast to food coming by or it will be gone. There are several baits I use to cover water fast including: crankbaits, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits.
