Spring in Marion County means it's time for the annual Lake Eaton Kids' Fishing Derby at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Ocala Conservation Center and Youth Camp in the Ocala National Forest. There are two derbies - March 20 and 27 - from 8:30 a.m. until noon for children ages 5-12. |

EUFAULA, Ala. (Feb. 24, 2010) - The FLW Series will visit Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, Ala., March 10-13 for the second stop of the Eastern Division circuit. Hosted by the Eufaula Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, the tournament will feature as many as 300 top bass anglers casting for top awards up to $50,000 in the Pro Division and a Ranger 177TR with a 90 horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard in the Co-angler Division. |
| Florida's Deer Point Lake drawdown picture perfect |

Fishery managers and Bay County Water Utility Department officials said the Deer Point Lake drawdown that began Jan. 4 could not have gone any better. The drawdown gates at the Deer Point Dam are closed, and the lake is expected to be back at full pool by Friday, Feb. 26. The lake was drawn down two feet most of the time and even more in a trial run of the revamped Williams Bayou pumping station. |

LAKE WALES, Fla. (Feb. 10, 2010) - The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to the Kissimmee River Feb. 20 for the first of five stops in the Gator Division series. As many as 400 pro and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively. |
